Renewed design with separate modules
DJI has renewed the design of the Action 2. The previous model looked somewhat like the GoPro models, but the Action 2 looks totally different. The camera is squared and has 2 hatches on the bottom to attach separate models to. You can choose between 2 models, the Touchscreen Module and the Power Model. You can't combine these 2 models. Neither one is waterproof either. If you want to dive with the action camera, you should use it without a module.
Record stable videos in 4K
With the action camera, you can record in 4K at 120 fps. This high number of frames ensures smooth and detailed images. You can easily slow down these images to sharp slow motion videos. For example, you can highlight an action moment. The HorizonSteady function keeps your horizon straight, so your videos look more stable when you record without a gimbal.
Touchscreen Module for selfies and vlogs
If you like to record vlogs or record yourself while working out, the Touchscreen Module is useful. This is an extra screen that you can attach under the action camera. On this screen, you can see if you're in the frame entirely. The screen has 4-mic Matrix Stereo, which means your videos will have a high sound quality without an external microphone. Thanks to the touchscreen, you can easily change the settings of the camera on the front, even while vlogging. You can use the Action 2 with the Touchscreen Module for 160 minutes
Power Module for extra recording time
Are you planning on recording a long activity? You might need the Power Module. This will allow you to extend the battery life of the Action 2, so you can record longer. The Power Module has a memory card slot for a micro SD card. You can save all your videos and photos that you capture on this. The combination of the longer battery life and the extra memory offer room for 180 minutes of recording.
Magnetic attachment on accessories
The Action 2 is magnetic, which allows you to easily attach it to different accessories. For example, you can clamp it to your clothes with a magnetic chain or attach it to a headband. The magnet is strong enough to keep the action camera in place during extreme sports. You don't have to worry the camera will fall during sports. These accessories aren't included by default, you'll have to purchase them separately. You can choose the suitable image angle and attach it for your activity.
