How do you install a DAB+ antenna?

With DAB+, you listen to digital radio. Because the signal is digital, you won't hear any noise. To receive DAB+ in your car, you need a special DAB+ antenna. In this article, we'll explain how to connect a DAB+ antenna to your car radio.

Setting up DAB+ antenna in 4 steps

First check if all parts are complete. The DAB+ antenna consists of a receiver with a long cable and an adhesive strip with the antenna in it. A cleaner is also included. Is everything complete? Connect the antenna in 4 steps.

Step 1: Determine the location of the antenna

Step 2: Stick the antenna on the window

Step 3: Hide the cables

Step 4: Connect the antenna to the radio

Step 1: determine the location of the antenna

The antenna must be stuck to the inside of your windscreen. You can do this from the right side, as seen from inside the car, approximately 15cm from the top. Clean this spot with the supplied cleaner and wipe the window dry with a clean and grease-free paper towel.

Step 2: stick the antenna on the window

Remove adhesive strip 1 and stick the plate on the glass. Spread out the air bubbles and remove adhesive strip 2. You will see a marking on the adhesive plate. Stick the receiver to it.

Step 3: hide the cables

You stick the black flap of the antenna on the metal frame of the car. This frame is covered by a strip that runs along the window. This strip must be removed from the car first. You can hide the cables behind or alongside the strip.

Step 4: connect the antenna to the radio

Connect the antenna to the radio connector. It's located at the back of the device. To complete the installation, you build in the radio.
