OLED technology
G1: higher brightness thanks to the EVO screen
LG continues the evolution of OLED with the EVO screen. The G1 is the only LG TV from 2021 with this new screen. Thanks to the innovation in the cooling elements behind the screen, the pixels light up even brighter. This way, the lard parts of the image are brighter than normal OLED televisions. As a result, the contrast is very powerful and HDR images show even more subtle color tones.
C1: the upsides of the familiar OLED screen
The LG C1 has the OLED screen that we're used to from LG. The thousands of pixels light up and dim individually when that's necessary. Black parts of the screen are really dark, for example. This way, you won't see a glow around bright colors against a black background. The moon glows brightly in the dark night sky. Because the C1 is less bright than the G1, you'll see reflections on the screen a bit sooner wit this TV.
Design
G1: slim TV with Gallery design
A large advantage of the LG G1 is the unique design. The 2.3cm thickness of the screen is the same across the entire TV. Thanks to the flat design of the wall mount, the television will hang flush against the wall. LG calls this Gallery design. The TV will hang on the wall like a painting, and it's a nice addition to your interior. The TV comes without leg stands. Do you want to put the TV on a cabinet? C1: thin screen with plastic casing and wide leg stand
The design of the LG C1 is almost the same as its predecessors, the CX and C9. The OLED screen isn't even 1cm thick, the smaller plastic casing at the back is 5cm thick. At the bottom is a wide steel leg stand. There's 1 difference between the design of earlier versions. The C1 is completely white on the back, instead of black.
Size
G1: larger sizes
The LG C1 is available in the 3 different sizes 55, 65, and 77 inches. We recommend the larger sizes for viewing distances of 2m or more. These televisions are especially suitable for larger living rooms. The G1 isn't available in smaller sizes due to its design. The Gallery design looks best with a larger screen. C1: from 48 to 83 inches
The LG C1 offers more options in terms of screen sizes. This television is available in 48, 55, 65, 77, and 83 inches. Thanks to the smaller 48-inch model, OLED is now also suitable for smaller living rooms.
