Black Ops 6

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was released on 25 October 2024 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. This was announced during the Call of Duty showcase on 9 June 2024. Microsoft also confirmed the game will be playable via Game Pass.

The game is set in the 90s, during the Gulf War. The game continues after the Cold War, where the missions in Black Ops 2 stopped. In the trailer, we see various characters such as Saddam Hussein, Margaret Thatcher, and George Bush.

The campaign mode of Black Ops 6 is just as long as in previous games. Treyarch spent about 4 years on developing the game. The mode also has a fast-travel system, which allows you to travel through the map more quickly. You can explore a map on foot or with vehicles, for example. The campaign has more variation and you can successfully finish mission in different ways. The missions continue where Black Ops 2 left off.

COD Black Ops 6 has 16 maps. We get old familiar apps such as Nuketown and Firing Range, but new maps as well. These are fast 3-lane maps, so your games are quick. The classic Prestige system also returns, so you can see your progress. This means you have 10 Prestiges again, followed by 1000 levels of Prestige Master. Traditional Scorestreaks return as well and there are new perks for your loadout.

The Dark Aether storyline of Cold War continues in Black Ops 6 Zombies. In Black Ops 6, Zombies is round-based. There are 2 maps. The first one is Liberty Falls. You play this map in broad daylight, which makes it easier. The other map is Terminus, a prison island in the dark. In Zombies, you play with Grigori, Elizabeth, Mac, and Maya. We know the first 3 from Black Ops 1 and Cold War, Maya is new in Black Ops 6.
