Old hood needed to be replaced. This extractor hood from Siemens looks nice. Sleek design. However, in operation it is simply not well thought out. When you retract the extendable part, the light should go out due to the push button that is then automatically pressed. However, the push button gives such a great back pressure that it pushes the extendable grille back slightly (only about a mm), but this is just enough to switch on the light again. And so this continues. I solved this by sticking a felt piece against the slide-out flap. But you don't expect something like this from such a brand. I have not tried any other hood, as I expect this build-up flaw to occur with every hood.
Grids are also difficult to place. They click hard and need a thin screwdriver to push them into the recess.
LED lamps cannot be replaced by yourself.
Above the grids, the electronic parts are open and exposed. Although the grid is in front of it, I wonder whether the heat, water vapor and fat will not be harmful.
Altogether; It looks nice, but I am not satisfied with the build quality.
