Description

With the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones Black + Charger bundle, you get headphones with spatial audio that you can charge right away with the charger. Thanks to Bose Immersive audio, you can hear your music around you. This Bose spatial audio technology ensures that you experience your music as if you're in the middle of it. This way, you can listen to your music with detail and depth. You hear less of your surroundings with noise canceling. That way, you can focus on your work or can't hear noise on a busy train. You can adjust the noise canceling yourself with the Bose Music app. The CustomTune technology takes the shape of your ear canal into account and adjusts the sound reproduction accordingly. That way, you can listen to a balanced sound reproduction. The headphones have a 24-hour battery life. When they're empty, you can charge them for 15 to use them again for 2.5 hours.

Bose Immersive Audio

Bose Immersive Audio provides spatial audio with your music from every source and streaming service. This technology ensures your music sounds like you're listening to it live. You hear the drums in front of you and the guitars on the left, if the artist intended it like that.

Premium model, premium sound and sublime noise canceling.

  • Shell sits comfortably around your ears
  • Noise Canceling is really a big step forward. You really can't hear any sound around you when it's on
  • Buttons are intuitive. It takes some getting used to at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's very easy.
  • The previous version had an off button: it is no longer there. Headphones now turn off automatically. Sucks a bit more battery in my opinion.

A really good upgrade from the Quiet Comfort 35. You wonder: is it worth so much money for headphones? The answer is simply: YES. Because how often do you wear headphones: often. So, if you want to go to audio heaven, you might as well go first class. And these headphones are certainly first class. If you often ride the train, have to work in a concentrated manner in your flexible office space or simply go crazy about your neighbors: this is it. Flip the switch and you will find yourself in a bubble where no sound will bother you anymore. And that is what you expect from noise canceling headphones: that they bring silence. If you turn this on and then put on calm music: silence in that music is really silence. That actually makes these headphones the best I've had so far. Don't forget the sublime sound. Flawless, with the bass in particular really coming into its own. If you like hip-hop like I do, you want clean, solid bass in your headphones. This one brings that without any distortion. This version also brings immersive sound. It's funny, I must say. So far I don't have much use for it, but it is something nice. You have to get used to the fact that it sounds a bit hollow, but it is a nice addition. Is it a must have? No. Is it funny: yes. In terms of operation, this takes some getting used to compared to what you are used to with the old Bose: there is a touch section on the side for your volume. That works intuitively. What also takes some getting used to is that there is no longer an off button. As soon as you grab it and put it on (and turn the shells) it turns on. That's nice, but what's more difficult is that turning it off is not yet automatic. So when you get home and you want to use your phone for music on your stereo or you are sitting on the couch, you have to 'disconnect' your headphones again. Anyway, if that is the only disadvantage, it can probably be remedied with an update. So be patient. What matters with headphones is: sound quality. And that is simply great with this copy. Bose did it again in that respect.

Top product

  • Top quality
  • Good looks
  • Good noise cancellation

What great headphones! I got these headphones to replace an earlier version of the Bose QC series. This one exceeds all expectations. It is sturdy, feels good and is very user-friendly. The active (in combination with passive) noise cancellation is so good that I was tapped several times on the train to show my ticket even though I didn't hear the noise being checked. You can still hear long-lasting noise such as broadcasters in the background, but so little that it doesn't really bother you. In addition, the headphones are very pleasant to use. Wear detection ensures that it stops playing if you don't have it on your head, so you never miss anything from your podcast again if someone unexpectedly starts talking to you. Immersive Audio is a feature that is very nice for some songs, and makes it much more beautiful. But this doesn't work for all numbers. Funk-style songs get a little crazy with echo, losing the tightness of the song. A nice feature to have, but it certainly cannot be on all the time. Fortunately, this can be solved easily with the quick function that you can set yourself. By holding it down you can quickly change it and therefore also adjust it per song, if you want. The app works well and is clear. The connection was easy and I have actually not found any disadvantages yet. It is on the more expensive side for this class of headphones, but I have not regretted the expenditure I made.

Excellent noise cancelling

Compared to the Bose QC 35ii (which I had before), these headphones are a slight improvement. Bass and treble are quite loud in the factory setting, which I want to adjust in the EQ control of the Bose Music app. Noise cancellation is marginally better. I read in some reviews that the Ultra does not have an on/off button, but that is incorrect: the Bluetooth button also functions as an on/off. However, starting up and shutting down takes quite a long time, and if you press that button again too early, the device can go "on tilt" and be difficult to turn off. It is useful that most sound sources pause when you remove the headphones from your head, which has worked well so far. I personally don't find the touch slider for the volume useful, but it could take some getting used to. I prefer to control it on my signal source. The material of the ear cushions was quite fragile on the QC 35ii, on the Ultra it seems firmer while still hugging your skull softly and comfortably. And it's handy that the thing is easy to fold and fits well in the included hard case. All in all, very nice headphones, but expensive.
