ECOVACS DEEBOT X2 Omni

The robot sucks very powerfully and mops very well in the places it goes. Too bad he skips some corners, so you still have to chase them with a vacuum cleaner or mop. It drives criss-cross and very randomly and is therefore quite "stupid" instead of "smart". He would learn via AI, but I haven't noticed much of that yet. It also often gets stuck in the same places. Due to the many criss-cross driving and maneuvering, he broke my carpet in several places (high pile carpet of 1.5 cm combination wool/silk). Our previous vacuum cleaner robot did not have the advantages of this Ecovacs Deebot, but it did clean systematically (drove up and down the rooms), which was much faster and more efficient and it did not miss a single square centimeter. It also just rode up and down my carpet and never damaged it.

The vacuum cleaner is a valuable addition to the household. It's not loud, has a handy app, delivers thorough cleaning and the station offers useful features, such as steam cleaning mop pads, so you don't have to worry about it much. Unfortunately, the robot does not notice small cables, which resulted in the loss of an iPhone charging cable. The AI program is not always smart, so the routes are sometimes illogical. As a result, he got lost twice, after which the robot created a new folder and could no longer find the original route.

Unfortunately, this turned out to be a bad purchase for us. We thought we had made a good purchase, vacuuming and mopping in one. The device looks nice.l and we bought it to be able to turn it on while we are at work. But unfortunately we are really not satisfied with the way it works. He often bumps into furniture, after which he regularly reports that he is stuck and needs help. So we always have to be at home when we want to turn on the robot. In addition, he does not take the edges with him, he blows the dog hairs to the place he has already vacuumed, so that is dirty again, and the battery is very bad. Vacuuming and mopping an entire room is not possible, and the battery will not survive even vacuuming alone. Then it first needs to charge again for a few hours. Because we couldn't imagine that the device works so poorly, we sent it in for repair, but according to the manufacturer there turned out to be nothing wrong with it. We really regret this purchase, especially considering what you pay for it.
