The Eufy was a top product. Local storage, quick review of images. Peace of mind on holiday: you check whether your belongings are still there and 'rest'. However, a major update was released around October 2023. The app on the phone (iPhone) also looks completely different. Since this update, the Eufy has become worthless: the connection regularly drops out and the range of the Homebase 2 has fallen sharply. The Eufy was previously wired (UTP) connected to a router in the meter cupboard. The outdoor cameras were located on the side of the house (+-5 meters away, one interior wall and one exterior wall) and at the back (+-12 meters away with one interior wall and one exterior wall). That went well for a year. After the update, a camera can no longer be installed outside: it only works on the front facade, where the camera is only about 4 meters from the meter cupboard. All other points are now too far, causing range loss. Tried everything now. From simple on/off to a complete reset and new installation of the system. Unfortunately nothing works. So either buy a real 100% offline system where you are independent of a company, or just go for full integration like Ring. With Eufy you have the worst of both worlds: an app that apparently stops working from one day to the next and 'bricks' your devices remotely, but no cloud storage.
