Sony HT-S40R

A very nice audio set. The sound of which is also great. But this set also has its flaws. For example, the settings can only be seen via a small display on the sub woofer itself and no menu is visible or possible via the TV. This sometimes makes it a bit difficult in terms of ease of use. I think the extra possibilities to use bluetooth and USB are great. Especially if you want to control Spotify from your phone. Almost forgot, unfortunately the speakers are not wireless as I first expected/hoped. But overall a great set that you are constantly impressed with while watching a movie.

I hear things in the sound that I haven't heard before! For example: I suddenly hear a lot more 'layers' in my music. Beautiful!

Thanks to Corona but ensured a home cinema experience. At least: bought a new TV, registered different streaming services and go. The only thing missing is the surround experience. Anyway, ended up here with the Sony HT-S40R. Because when I see Iron Man pass by, I actually want to hear him pass. Inside in a large box, but quickly unpacked. You actually immediately know where to do what, so you don't have to be a technician for that. Soundbar under the TV, Subwoofer next to it, boxes and receiver behind your couch. This way you have everything unpacked and connected within 10 minutes. I even had an ARC-HDMI port on my television, which makes connecting even easier and your television immediately recognizes the audio device when you switch on your television. Now the sound. I have to say: I am mixed about this. One moment I'm in the middle of a film because of the sound, among other things, the next I don't notice anything. This may depend on the movie or series you're watching, but in general I have to get used to it. The controls are very easy. The speakers turn on at the same time as my television and the supplied remote control speaks for itself. Nice and simple. There are also different sound settings, similar to music app equalizers. All in all, a nice, simple installation with good sound, which you can sink into while watching a movie.
