Philips Senseo Select CSA250/10 Stainless Steel

Philips allowed to test the device but returned it after a few days. It's a nice device but with a poorly conceived design. That starts with the drip tray which is placed separately in front of the device. Why not a click system? The plate is made of shiny steel that already has scratches after a few days, why not brushed stainless steel? Then the operation, which is simple with only two buttons. Unfortunately, the device switches off automatically after brewing (energy saving), but inconvenient if you want to brew several cups in succession. Yes and then the biggest downside; the small water container. This is empty after 4 to 5 cups and difficult to put back (don't fill it above Max otherwise a water ballet). Even if it is in a corner of the counter, it is difficult to see how much water is left in it. Can prevent it from cutting off halfway through making a cup of coffee because you have to top up with water. There are also advantages, it is slightly quieter than previous models. Make a good cup of Senseo with an excellent crema and quite hot. Yet we stick to the quadrante, which we think is still the best Senseo.

This is a bit disappointing. Previous devices were more robust. The spill tray constantly falls apart when moved or cleaned like a box of blocks of a 3-year-old child. Water reservoir no max. line but leaks like a colander if you dare to fill more than 3/4. So add it. the energy savings of auto shutoff after 1 cup is time consuming if you want coffee immediately. Reheat the boiler before you can continue. By Other Senseo's the boiler will still be warm. H2o pump puffs like an old steam locomotive. Coffee? yes, but never with this one. Prototype rejected.
