Used for over a year as a backup for photos and videos. The hard drive was in my laptop bag (which you have to be careful with, of course). Now after a little over a year, the PC sees that a USB device is connected, but the drive itself makes a beeping sound and is no longer recognized by windows, or recovery software. If a drive doesn't even survive traveling in a laptop bag (and the laptop does without any issues whatsoever) a drive shouldn't have "Rugged" in its name.
