eufy S1 Pro Complete

The Eufy S1 Pro cleans my floors thoroughly with high suction and its self-cleaning mop. This makes it easy to remove stains from my floor. The base station has a luxurious design and does a lot of work for me. Powerful mopping function The most unique thing about this robot vacuum cleaner is its self-cleaning mop. The mop brush keeps itself wet while the robot moves around. It also continuously scrapes dirt from the brush, after which the robot drains the dirty water. This way, the robot always cleans with a fresh mop brush. I notice that this makes the robot clean thoroughly. The wide brush sweeps large strips clean in one movement. The rotating mop brush also removes stains from the floor. Great, because this way I don't have to help out myself. The robot neatly vacuums up crumbs, dust and hair at the same time. This way he cleans my floor well. When the robot drives over my carpet, I see it lift the mop brush. This means that the brush does not drag on my carpet and therefore does not get wet. So I don't have to set up separate cleaning routines for vacuuming and mopping via the app. Complete base station The robot's base station stands out. It has a luxurious design with built-in lighting and a smooth finish. I operate the station via the built-in touchscreen. The base station is quite large, so it takes up some space in the house. This also means that the base station has many functions. This makes the robot independent, because I do less work myself. For example, the robot drives back to the base station when its dust container is full. He also immediately washes and dries his mop brush. The robot then fills its water tank and adds cleaning agent. This way he independently prepares for the next cleaning round. Handy, because it saves me effort. Extensive functions I control the robot via the app on my smartphone. The app works well and gives me clear instructions. This also makes installation a small effort. The robot drives around my house and creates a floor plan. Now I set exactly where the robot cleans and where not. There is also a camera on the front of the robot. When the robot drives around, it sees things lying around. I'm struck by how spot on he is about this. This means it doesn't run over my things and it also cleans well along edges and skirting boards.

He is quick in mapping a floor. This goes quickly because he has a LIDAR and then he only has to drive through a room and he sees almost everything. If necessary, he will drive another path, but he will quickly cover every corner of the room. He can clean well (vacuum and mop). The app is easy to use to choose rooms, choose what needs to be done per room, etc. What I don't like is that I have already experienced strange things with the device twice. Once I already had a map of a floor and then I moved some chairs. When he got to that room he was completely confused because the room was different from his map and he could not deal with it to such an extent that since then he could no longer vacuum or mop efficiently in straight paths anywhere on that map; From the moment he got confused, he started driving around randomly everywhere and occasionally vacuuming and mopping and couldn't even find his base station anymore! The solution was to create a new map of the floor and then everything went well. And another time it happened to me that it got confused from one day to the next, which was reflected in the irregular pattern of sucking and mopping, which is clearly visible on the app. Creating the map again solved it. It struck me that when creating the map, when he sees the space he sees growing because his LIDAR sees more and more of the floor as he drives, that when updating the map making process he often goes beyond the map itself. came and that the growth of the map was somewhere else where he found himself on that map. I thought that was very strange and I just let him do his card file process. Ultimately, a good map came out and its base station was in the right place, but the map making process involved a visualization of the map growth that was completely incorrect. It seems to me that the AI in it sometimes goes over the floss and if it ends up moving inefficiently and making irregular paths, then the solution so far has been to make a new map. I have two Eufy S1 Pros and I have experienced this with both. I also tried a Dreame X40, but it launched itself through a stairwell without any problems and has already fallen down a floor twice. So I wouldn't recommend it if you have a stairwell. And I tried the Roomba J9+ and it works well, but it doesn't mop as well as this Eufy S1 Pro and the Roomba bumps into everything, and the app doesn't show the exact distance traveled. So all in all, the Eufy S1 Pro, because the map process is neat and fast with the LIDAR, it vacuums and mops well (I only have hard floors and can't say anything about carpet), the app is clear and also provides nice distance traveled, it can store up to three cards (so three floors) and does not fall through a stairwell. You will have to figure out how to use cleaning on a different floor than where the base station is located. I have now figured it out, but none of that is in the manual.

Now 2 months the robot in use. I have set it to clean 2x with all settings at max. The result is that the entire ground floor is spick and span. The household consists of 2 adults and several pets. The water that only has to be emptied after cleaning is then very dark and dirty after cleaning every day, which proves that the rolling mop does its job excellently. However, it is important if you have a lot of sand and mud in the house, to clean the robot after each turn. This is not much work and takes you 5 minutes max. This guarantees a well-functioning robot and a long lifespan. Another plus is that the robot hardly uses any cleaning agent. But because of the ozone water it does smell nice and fresh after a cleaning round.
