With this Ring doorbell I hardly get any unnecessary notifications, because I can easily adjust them in the app. The installation of the doorbell is quick and easy, but it does have some difficulty with the 'shared access' function. Customizable notifications One of the biggest advantages of this doorbell is the customizable notifications. I set exactly what type of notifications I want to receive in the app. For example, it has 3D motion recognition. The doorbell only starts filming when a visitor is within the correct range. I also choose which movement causes the doorbell to automatically start filming. For example, I set it to only record when there is a person in the picture. For some notifications I do need a Ring Protect subscription. I also don't hear the doorbell loudly in the house. If you want that, I would get a Chime. Ring Protect subscription I need a Ring Protect subscription to save the doorbell recordings. Without a subscription, I only watch the images live. I do get the first 30 days for free. That period starts automatically as soon as I have finished installing the doorbell. For this I do not have to enter my bank details first, which is often necessary with other subscriptions. With the subscription I also get other functions in addition to image storage. For example, photos with motion notifications. Easy installation I find the installation of the doorbell very easy. The Ring app takes you through the process step by step. Everything you need to hang the doorbell is included, even a small screwdriver. The only thing I need is a drill to attach the doorbell to the wall. Linking to the app is also quick. This requires a strong WiFi signal at the front door. Shared access It is possible to give other people access to the doorbell via the 'shared access' function. They will then receive an email with a link. Here they create an account and download the app. This way they can also operate the doorbell. My mother's smartphone was too outdated to download the app, so keep that in mind if you have an older mobile.

I think this doorbell is a lot lower in quality than, for example, the ring doorbell 4. No matter how you set it in the app, it records images where no person or anything else can be seen. The doorbell does not do what the bell should record. Either the software in the doorbell is the culprit, or the app.

I have been able to test this doorbell in recent weeks. The installation of this doorbell is very easy and happened in no time! Please note that the battery must first be charged for approximately 12 hours and once charged it will last a few weeks with normal use. In addition to the battery, you can also connect it via a wired power supply With this doorbell you can view visitors from head to toe and communicate with them. You get 3D motion detection with a bird's eye view, very nice! The network connectivity is possible with both 2.4 and 5GHz. I just think it's a shame that you have to take out a subscription to use some of the features. When you start you will receive a free 3-week trial subscription and you can then decide whether you want to renew. So far it has lived up to expectations!
