BaByliss Super-X Metal Series T991E

I was sold as a beard trimmer, but I am not happy with it, it does not meet my expectations on several points. Before this I had a cheap Remington that I enjoyed more.

The wide trimming blade made of Japanese steel allows you to quickly trim your beard. The shape of the leaf also allows you to neatly finish the contours.

This beard trimmer does what I bought it for: short trimming without wounds. In my opinion, the trimming result could have been even shorter, but that may not be possible without significantly more risk of wounds or irritations. In the photos of the T991E (the alloy variant of the T996E, at least I suspect they only differ in color), you see 2 screws on the knife side of the blade. I had secretly hoped that these would also be on the T991E and that you could then adjust the distance of the blade as with the BaByliss Pro trimmers (the so-called zero-gapping). Anyway, this isn't advertised anywhere, so I'm not going to give any real negative points for that. But it is not 0.2mm short that you can achieve with this. I am convinced of that. I went for this model because of the looks and battery indicator. This way I leave it in the holder without a cable and I will charge it when it threatens to reach 20% and I charge it to about 80%. This means the battery wears out much less. The battery indicator shows the charge in 5 steps, so that can easily be done. I have now used the device about 8 times after a 100% charge and all 5 lights are still on, so it does indeed seem to last a really long time. The trimmer could have been placed a little more firmly in the basic holder, but I am happy that the holder is included and is at least not ugly. For the sake of completeness, some photos showing the white charger and cable (I think it's a good choice even though the station and trimmer are not white) and some products for an idea of the size (the other BaByliss is a hair clipper and therefore not a trimmer ).
