CORSAIR HS80 Max Wireless Black

I think the Corsair HS80 is a nice and sturdy gaming headset. The sound and microphone are very nice and clear. The headset has a very good battery life and charges in no time. Unfortunately, most of the new additions are hidden on PC. First impression When I take the HS80 Max out of the box, I immediately notice that the headset is not heavy. That is quite striking, since the headband and the ear cups are made of metal. The HS80 Max also has a leather strap that rests on the top of your head. The metal ear cups have fabric ear cushions and a retractable microphone. The fabric ear cushions are very thick and soft, but there doesn't seem to be much room for my ears. The microphone is also bendable, but also immediately springs back to the first position. To work I've played several games with the Corsair HS80 Max Wireless, but most hours have been spent testing with Alan Wake Remastered. A game in which sound and atmosphere play an important role. The sound from the HS80 Max is good. The direction of sound in games like Fortnite and Call of Duty is also clear enough to be an advantage. In addition, the microphone of this gaming headset is very good. I can always be heard very clearly by my team members. Some even say it looks like I'm sitting next to them. The sound and microphone are also further customizable, but unfortunately all those nice features only work on PC. Unfortunately, after a few hours of gaming, my ears are already bothering me. The headband is not easy to adjust and I mainly get problems at the bottom of my ears. Long battery life I played with this gaming headset for hours and never charged it. Corsair itself promises that the HS80 Max has a battery life of 60 hours and this also seems to be correct. I drained the battery completely and then charged it again. It is also immediately noticeable that the HS80 Max has a full battery again very quickly. This is nice, because after that I can continue gaming.

Bought this headset for couch gaming but mostly for my service desk job. I can charge it on Monday it it can last the entire week with having to call around 3-4 hours and being on the entire 8 hours. With sometimes a 1-2 hour gaming session from the couch. It is really comfy for 3-4 hours and after you do start feeling the headset and with glasses it can become a bit irritant after that. Sound quality is pretty good for a gaming headset, but not the best. For music I would still like my Sony WH-XB910N , DT 770 pro or my old Sony MDR xb500... The mic quality, is really good, it comes close to my stand alone mic but it is a but silent. So some user at my job say I'm sometimes to quiet and same with my friends on discord. ICUE software is most of the time pretty bad but this headset has some good equalizer settings I would recommended the headset if you can get payed back by your work or need a really good mic for gaming.

The headset is far too small for me, it is constricting and does not fit comfortably. This headset is suitable for people with small and medium-sized heads. Not for people with an above-average head. I cannot say anything about the sound because I have not tried it because this headset is not usable for me. I sent it back.
