Microsoft Surface Pro 7 - i5 - 8GB - 128GB

Replacement for my MacBook Pro after my work switched to Office365. Works great with 1 work account and 1 personal account. Opted for the i7 16gb 512gb SSD. Photo editing and making music in Ableton works fine (just set asio4all: google moltenmusic). Even gaming is an option (Rocketleague 60fps at 1368x912 on high quality). A week after commissioning and after installing office, albleton, photo editing, a few games and syncing Onedrive, I have about 200 GB of disk space. The additional cost for the 512 GB SSD is insane, but necessary for my use. Photos and documents work fine from an SD card by the way, so if you don't go over 265GB with the programs you want to run you can "save" a lot of money. Operation with the finger is nice (popup keyboard), but for longer texts and key combinations, the keyboard is actually indispensable. The pen is especially fun for scribbling on documents from colleagues or for people who are more creative than me. Doubted about the Pro X and Go2 because of the battery life and thinner screen bezels. Chose the Pro 7 because I need a full-fledged computer that can run regular programs. A new Pro may be released at the end of this year with a better battery and larger screen, but you can't always wait and given the virus outbreak, I now use it the most. Did I mention that the microphone, speakers, and camera work great for video conferencing? Tip: turn off throttling. He gets mostly hot and noisy and then has to take a step back because he gets too hot Tip: buy a 60w USB C charger and you can go out with 1 charger for both your phone and laptop

I was looking for a good lightweight laptop because I travel a lot, this laptop is perfect for that. I also find the touchscreen very nice to scroll back and forth through files. Until your colleagues to whom you show an image or Excel find out that your laptop works with a touchscreen and they start scrolling with their greasy fingers. Minus point.

Unpack, follow installation and run, exactly what you would expect from a laptop. Many laptops often feel a bit cheap and flimsy, but still cost a lot of money. The surface pro may be a bit more pricey, but feels great and that gives confidence that it does what it was bought
