Once you get the hang of how the blender works, it's a great device!

Excellent blender found with this Bosch Vitamaxx. The vacuum function works really well: smoothies are noticeably fresher for longer. This applies to both the blending jug and the supplied drinking bottle, which you can also use to draw a vacuum with the help of a hose. The automatic blending function works great, so far always nice smooth smoothies. Of course you can also blend manually with the rotary knob on the front. The automatic cleaning function is also practical. Furthermore, the blender looks chic and solid and does not make too much noise (although they are of course noisy devices). The only point of criticism is the tube for vacuuming the drinking bottle: it looks a bit fragile and you have to keep it pressed when using the vacuum function. Otherwise very satisfied!

To be honest, when I unpacked it, I was initially a little intimidated by the device. The blender came in a huge box. Fortunately, there was another smaller box with the blender in it. Anyway, it's not a compact device and you need to have the space for it in your kitchen. Vacuum blending was new to me. At first it took some getting used to and puzzling over how the blender works, but after a few times practicing with both the vacuuming of the large mixing jug and the smaller take-away cup, I got the hang of it. You also need to get some dexterity with removing the lid from the mixing jug. By pulling the red tab on top, you break the vacuum. The 'quick guide' that comes with the device helped in understanding how the device works. I especially like the auto mode. This starts with the vacuum and then automatically mixes the ingredients into a delicious airy smoothie. What is nice is that the mixing jug is made of pleasantly light material. Blending and vacuuming the first few times went well. The device did exactly what it was supposed to do. But now suddenly the vacuum hose no longer clicks on the take-away cup. In short, I can no longer vacuum the takeaway cup so that I can keep the smoothie fresh longer. It would also be better if you could also vacuum the large mixing jug, if you've already poured something out. Another drawback is that the large mixing jug is difficult to fit in my spacious fridge. You are therefore actually obliged to pour everything into the smaller take-away cup. In short, this blender blends perfectly, but I still see some areas for improvement in terms of size of the device itself and the mixing jug and the vacuum also doesn't work as it should.
