The Remington Keratin Protect Intelligent S8598 has a heat protection sensor. As you straighten your hair, this sensor measures your hair's moisture level and adjusts the temperature accordingly. I don't use the straightener to style but to make curls / strokes in my hair. This goes very quickly and well with these tongs and my hair looks nice and stays in place for a long time. It is very easy to use and heats up quickly. The cord is nice and long and you get a storage bag with it
