At first I didn't use a mouse pad because I didn't think it was necessary. but i only got 1. it was well worth it. your mouse responds a lot better to a mouse pad. The mouse pad is nice and soft on top, making it comfortable to lie on with your hand all day long. if you are playing games. The bottom is also made of rubber and that ensures that it does not slip.
