So my experience: with eggplant stir-fry, the machine makes a lot of annoying beeping noise (probably due to resistance of the food and little liquid). He makes soups perfectly. For a smoothie I will go for a small blender, to spend less time in the kitchen to clean everything by hand. So in terms of performance he is top notch. It just takes some time and space to clean and dry everything afterwards. The rubber piece in the lid absorbs the onion smell very well, I can't get it away. Putting it in the dishwasher once will reduce the onion smell a bit.
