Just to help others: this product is waterproof, although the manual states that only the head is waterproof and it should not be used in the shower. Inquiry at Babyliss gives the following response: "This item is waterproof and can be used in the shower. Just not with a cord, which is why it says otherwise in the user manual for safety reasons." Other than that, a great item for its price!

The Babyliss E837E is a versatile device. Beard trimming goes well, with a neat result (for example, no frayed, torn hairs). With one particular attachment you can also get a pretty close shave (if you want to leave the neck area bare). If you keep your hair very short, you don't really need clippers next to it. With the two attachment combs you can easily apply a gradient if you are handy. Biggest downside: the teeth of one of the two comb attachments (with the odd millimeters) are rather long; Because the plastic is tar, you have to be careful with that comb attachment so that the teeth don't break. The predecessor of the E837E also had this problem. Babyliss really needs to do something about that. Just some sturdier plastic and you're done. Anyway, I think it's such a nice device that I just take this risk. Furthermore, the shaver is not very firmly in the stand if you do not incorporate the plug at the bottom. And the smaller attachments are not so sturdy either. Small problem. But the device performs well.
