Beautiful and powerful and compact device. You can use it lying down, standing or hanging. It does make a bit of noise, but not as much as my mother-in-law. Of course you can always put it outside with a longer compressed air line or in a room that can be closed off a bit. The right product for the handyman.

Stanley DN 200/10/5 Airboss is super easy to use

This compressor is super handy and light to take anywhere. I use it to do small paint spraying jobs (spraying cabinets) and I also don't put them together with the compressor. for my work I use it for the kitten of bathrooms and then such a light device is super handy

cheap but not a good buy

  • manageable
  • Fair price

I bought this Airboss together with the Stanley APC 2in1 tacker. After receiving it, I tested for half an hour. The results were quite good, especially when I consider the price of the set. I take for granted any vagueness in the adjustability of the pressure or a small deviation from the weft impression of the tacker in a piece of wood. It's just not a high end product. But now I've finished my first big job using a 1300 nails (45mm) and a 500 staples (30mm). My satisfaction with the purchase is now gone. I'm just not sure whether to blame the compressor or the tacker. I think the latter because the unpredictability of the deviation is great, while with an (even) loss of pressure you would still see the nails being pushed in a little less far. I (among others) shot 15mm thick MDF skirting boards through 9mm plasterboard onto 22mm osb board. What struck me after 20 minutes was that the nails were not shot at the same depth. I just couldn't get the pressure set steady. This resulted in either nails not being driven far enough into the material or an unsightly impact spot 6mm wide because the nail was driven too far into the material. In my post-reception test, I had only tested on wood. MDF is probably softer and then the result is immediately worse than on wood. I also had a nail stuck in the gun at least 25 times after firing. The trigger is then blocked and there is no other option than to pull the gun with force from the spot, after which the protruding part of the nail is pulled free from the firing nozzle. I have no opinion on durability, hence 3 stars. What I do find now is that Stanley tools from 20 years ago were of much better quality than they are today.
