It automatically adjusts the intensity of every light flash to your skin tone. As a result, you always remove hair with the right intensity, so it's safe for your skin. Your skin tone is different over your entire body, so the sensor keeps measuring it. Depending on the model, it chooses from 3 or 10 light intensities. With 10 settings, it adjusts the setting to your skin tone more accurately.
