The Canon RF 85mm f/2 Macro IS STM is a prime lens for your Canon full-frame system camera. With its fixed focal length of 85mm and maximum aperture of f/2, you have an ideal portrait lens. Thanks to this maximum aperture of f/2, you can create a soft background blur, which makes your model stand out from the background. In addition, the large aperture makes the lens bright and suitable for photographing in dark situations. With the short focal distance of 35cm, the lens is also suitable for macro photography. On Canon R5 and R10 after hours of trying, the lens Autofocus does not work in video mode. the question has been posted to Canon support. Lens is packed, but wait a while to see if Canon support comes up with a solution. (do not expect because on YT there are 2 or 3 reviews of 4 and 8 months old and report this AF problem. Photo mode such as TV or Manual mode, are beautiful and razor sharp photos.

Nice lens. Bright, so nice for taking photos indoors. The sharpness and general quality are very good. I only have L lenses and they are a bit faster. But for portraits that doesn't matter much.
