What's Pokémon Legends Arceus?
Pokémon Legends Arceus is set many years before the first Pokémon games. There are no Pokémon Gyms or Pokémon trainers in the Hisui region yet. The Hisui region is a gigantic open world that's full of old and new Pokémon. This new region features large mountain ranges and vast bodies of water. Climb on the back of certain Pokémon and discover this new region.
The Survey Corps
You're the latest member of the Galaxy Survey Corps and you're sent on a mission by Captain Cyllene to make the Pokédex complete. When you begin your journey, you choose Cyndaquil, Oshawott, or Rowlet as your starter Pokémon. On your travels, you visit different places and you can change the clothes and haircut of your character to your liking. You can even take a photo with your Pokémon friends.
Upgraded gameplay
There are some big changes when it comes to gameplay as well. You still build and train your team of Pokémon. You also fight and catch Pokémon. But there are some new twist. During a battle, you can now choose from 2 styles. There's Strong Style and Agile Style. This makes your Pokémon either more powerful or faster during a fight. When you catch Pokémon, they'll respond differently. Some may be scared and run away, while others can be aggressive.
Noble Pokémon
Noble Pokémon are a new addition in Pokémon Legends. These Pokémon are seen as the protectors of the region and they are worshiped by the inhabitants. Some Pokémon only need to be calmed down and you can't do that in a Pokémon fight. You'll have to calm these Noble Pokémon by feeding them their favorite food. These will be completely different fights that are similar to those in an action RPG like Monster Hunter Rise.
