How do you solve error codes on an AEG microwave?

• Error code F104/ERRM/ERRC: temperature sensor problem
• Error code F215: problem with the control electronics
• Error code E15: oven too hot for the function
• Error code ECON: microwave is in power-saving mode
• Error code –--C: door doesn't close properly
• Error code PLAT OFF: turntable is locked

If you see one of these error codes, there's a problem with the temperature sensor. This is often because the environment is too cold. Check whether it's below 16°C in your kitchen, because the microwave can't function properly in that case. Did you use the oven function earlier? The problem could also be the inside temperature. Let it cool down first.

If you see the error code F215, there's a problem with the controls. Turn off the oven and wait a couple of minutes before you turn it back on. If you can't do this because the controls don't work, unplug the microwave or switch off the fuse.

The E15 error code indicates that the oven is too hot for the function you selected. Open the door so the interior can cool down properly. Is there no heat coming from the appliance? Switch it on again. The error code will disappear.

If you see ECON on the display, the microwave is in power-saving mode. Unplug it from the socket and wait a bit before you plug it back in. The display will count down from 3 minutes. Set the time within those 3 minutes. If you wait longer than then, the microwave remains in power-saving mode.

If you see --C, the door of the microwave isn't closed properly when you select a function. Does the door look closed? Check whether the door hooks are intact. Isn't this the case? Have them replaced by a mechanic so the door can close properly again.

The code PLAT OFF isn't an error code, but it indicates that the turntable is locked. Do you have a large angular oven dish and want to unlock the turntable? Press the 2 outer keys during one of the programs. The turntable will unlock.
