The most common errors of Whirlpool washing machines
Whirlpool error FH, FA, or E1
Does your Whirlpool washing machine display show the error FH, FA, or E1? That means something is wrong with the water supply. The washing machine doesn't get any water and can't wash anymore. Open the water supply completely and check if there's still water coming out of it. Next, check the supply hose. Is there a kink in it? Make sure the water can flow through it and replace the hose if necessary. Switch off the washing machine, wait a couple of minutes, and turn it back on.
Whirlpool error F3, F4, F21, or FP
The error codes F3, F4, F21, and FP indicate an issue with the water drain. The drain hose or filter could be clogged. Make sure there's no kink or clog in the hose blocking the water. Open the filter in front of the drain pump and collect any remaining water with a bowl. Clean the filter. Turn on the washing machine and check if the error code still shows. No luck? Whirlpool error F05 or E2
Does the display show the error code F05 or E2? This means there's something wrong with the water temperature sensor. Time to reset the Whirlpool. Switch off the washing machine and remove the plug for 30 minutes. Afterwards, plug the washing machine back in and start it up again.
Whirlpool error F06 or F6
With an F06 or F6 error, the motor doesn't work. Your laundry will come out of the drum still wet. Some laundry might be stuck. Open the door and gently spin the drum. Take out the laundry that's stuck. Restart the cycle afterwards. Another cause might be that the drum is too full. Take some laundry out in that case. There might also be a problem with the circuit board of the washing machine. In that case, you need a mechanic.
Whirlpool error F7
The error code F7 indicates that there's a problem with the motor. It fails to get to the required speed for the wash cycle. Make sure the drum isn't too full. Also make sure all transit bolts are removed. These prevent damage during transport, but are no longer necessary once the washing machine is installed in your house.
Whirlpool error F13 or F22
The error codes F13 and F22 indicate a problem with the door. First, check if the door of the washing machine is closed properly before you start it. A buildup of soap, dust, or an overloaded drum may cause the door to not close properly. Wipe the door lock clean with a wet towel or remove some clothes from the drum. Try to start the wash cycle again.
Whirlpool error F18
The error code F18 indicates there's too much foam in the drum. Luckily, this problem is easy to solve. Unload the drum and run a wash cycle without detergent. This removes excess foam. Make sure you don't use too much detergent in the future. This prevents the issue from repeating itself.
Whirlpool washing machine won't start anymore
Is the washing machine plugged in, but won't it switch on anymore? Check the fuse box to find out whether there's a power failure first. Is the power group getting power? That means there's a problem with your washing machine. Unfortunately, you can't solve this problem yourself. Luckily, a technician can. Contact the manufacturer to make an appointment.
Still get an error code?
Hasn't the error been solved? A last solution is resetting the washing machine. Unplug the appliance and plug it back in after 30 minutes. Doesn't this work either?
