First impression of the eufy S1 Pro
The box that the robot vacuum is in is quite large. I'm curious about what's inside it. When I unpack the robot, the luxurious design stands out right away. The robot and its base station have a sleek finish. When I plug it in the socket, the LCD display and lighting turn on. Now, the luxurious design is even more noticeable. I download the app and connect the robot. Here, I can read how to get the robot ready for its first clean.
Self-cleaning mopping pad
The robot vacuum has a wide mopping pad. I notice that it can mop large strips in one go. The water tank keeps the mop wet, while a scraper gets the dirt of the brush and carries it off. The robot always mops with a clean brush this way. That way, it can remove more dirt and bacteria. Because the mopping pad rotates, it can scrub stains from my floor more easily. I notice a clear difference with robot vacuums that only wipe a wet mopping pad over the floor.
Thorough vacuum
The robot vacuums and mops your floor. I notice that the robot can effortlessly vacuum crumbs, dust, and hairs. If it encounters carpet, it automatically increases the suction power. This way, my carpet gets cleaned well. The mop is also automatically lifted. This is convenient, as my carpet stays dry this way. Thanks to the square and slim design of the robot, it can easily get to hard-to-reach places. I can see that it reaches corners well and even go under my couch, for example.
Smart functions
The robot vacuum makes a map of your house with a laser. You can find this in the app. This way, you can easily decide where and when the robot cleans exactly. Thanks to the camera and sensors at the front of the robot, it recognizes objects. The robot knows which stuff it'll encounter and dodge them. Did you leave shoes or toys lying around? No problem. The robot will neatly clean around it, even in the dark.
Independent base station
The base station of the robot vacuum is quite large. The advantage is that it takes a lot of work out of your hands. The robot vacuum charges automatically, of course. It also empties its dust cup, so dust ends up in a closed vacuum cleaner bag. The robot also washes and dries its mopping pad when it's done cleaning. After that, it refills the tank with water and cleaner. That's useful, as the robot will be ready for its next cleaning round without you having to do anything for it.

The eufy S1 Pro is a robot that cleans thoroughly and independently. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleaning performance of the mopping pad. Compared to other robots that just wipe a wet mopping pad over the floor, this robot cleans much more thoroughly. That's also thanks to the powerful vacuum. The smart object detection, navigation, and extensive base station make the robot independent. This means I don't have to do much. That's great, as the robot takes over a lot of the cleaning work.
