How do you connect a dryer to the water drain?
Water drainage
Most dryers allow you to choose how to drain the water. The appliance collects the water in a condenser reservoir and drains it via a drain hose. That's the same for both heat pump dryers and condenser dryers. Most dryers come with a drain hose, so you can connect it to a water drain yourself. Don't you want that? The dryer can also collect the water in the reservoir. A vented dryer vents the hot air via a tube. We don't sell such dryers.
No drain hose included?
Do you have a condenser dryer or heat pump dryer you can connect to the water drain, but doesn't contain a drain hose? Buy one separately. A condensation drain hose is around 1.5m long. Is your dryer's hose too short? It might be useful to purchase a standard drain hose. You won't have to empty the condenser reservoir. Make sure that you don't stick the drain hose too far down the drain.

Check the drain hose and drain pipe
When you connect the drain hose, you place it in the water drain. Make sure that there are no twists and bends in the drain hose. Also make sure the drain hose doesn't hang in the drain pipe further than 10cm. Lastly, check if the drain isn't higher than 1m. Otherwise, the dryer can't drain the water.
Still water in the condenser reservoir
If you have a connection to the water drain, there still might be some water in the reservoir. This happens if you have a self-cleaning condenser, like with a Bosch or Siemens dryer. The dryer collects the moisture from your laundry and uses it to clean the condenser. You don't have to empty the reservoir yourself. The dryer automatically drains this via the hose. The dryer does this at the end or at the start of the next cycle.
