- iPhone: which iPhone model do you have and what iOS version is on it?

If you have an Android smartphone, only one thing matters: the Android version of your smartphone. Check which Android version you have and choose a smartwatch which is compatible with this version. This is indicated on the product page.
Where can you find which Android version your smartphone has?
- Go to 'Settings'.
- Scroll down and tap About this phone or Device Information.
- You can find the Android version here or below 'Software Information*.
iPhone: which iPhone model do you have and which iOS version is on it?
There are 2 things to keep in mind if you have an iPhone. First, check which iPhone model you have. Apple Watch, for example, only works with an iPhone 6s or later model, while some Apple watches that aren't made by Apple work with an iPhone 4 or later model as well. Secondly, check your iOS version. You need to find a compatible watch based on the model and the iOS version. You can find this information on the product page.
Where to find the iOS version on your iPhone?
- Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap General.
- Tap About and find your iOS version.
Do you have an Apple iPhone?
There are several smartwatches that work with the iOS system, such as a Fitbit or Garmin watch. The Apple Watch is also compatible with your iPhone, of course. The Apple Watch and iPhone both run on Apple operating systems, so they work very well together. If you have an iPhone 6s or lower, the Apple Watch isn't an option. Do you prefer a Samsung watch? Keep in mind that you won't be able to respond to incoming messages if you have an iPhone. Other functions do work.
