Camera iPhone Xs and Xs Max
With the iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max, Apple seems to have completely stepped away from the familiar home button. The home button has made room for a full touchscreen. In that sense, the iPhone Xs is very similar to its predecessor, the iPhone X. Apart from the thin bezel, the screen takes up the full front of the iPhone. In addition to the silver and space gray versions, iPhone Xs comes in a new gold version. The glass is slightly stronger than the glass we saw on the iPhone X. The glass casing also allows for wireless charging.
The screen
The Apple iPhone Xs has a 5.8-inch Super Retina HD display. The specially developed OLED display of the iPhone Xs provides the most natural color representation, HDR, and deep black levels. What's remarkable about the iPhone Xs Max, is that the screen is much larger than the screen of the iPhone 8 Plus. The devices do have the same size. You can unlock your iPhone with a single look. With Face ID, your face is your password. This is the safest type of facial recognition a smartphone can have.
The processor
Inside of the iPhone Xs and Xs Max, you'll find the A12 Bionic chip. This chip has a Sexta-Core GPU, and so did the A11 chip of the iPhone X. The cores are 15% faster and no less than 40% more efficient than those of the iPhone X. What's notable is that the cores use 50% less energy. The A12 chip provides the best Augmented Reality experiences, beautiful portraits with depth division, and a lot more speed than before for everything you do on the iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max.
The camera
The Apple iPhone Xs has a dual camera on the back, a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. In addition, there's a 7-megapixel TrueDepth camera on the front. Both the front and rear cameras have a portrait mode. Photos in portrait mode look even more professional, thanks to the subtle blurry background. Thanks to the new sensor, pictures are even more vivid with larger and deeper pixels. This also reduces noise in low-light situations.
The battery life
Did you think the iPhone X lasted a long time? The iPhone Xs has an even better battery life. The iPhone Xs lasts 30 minutes longer than the iPhone X, and the iPhone Xs Max even lasts 1.5 hours longer than the iPhone X. What does that mean for phone calls, internet browsing, etc.? Find out in the following table.

Water resistance - IP certification
The IP certification indicates to what extent the iPhone can withstand dust and water. Thanks to the IP68 resistance standard, the iPhone Xs can withstand water and dust like never before. What does this mean? It means that the iPhone Xs can stay at a 2-meter depth under water for 30 minutes. It doesn't matter if it's fresh or salt water. You won't need to worry when you accidentally drop your iPhone in the sea or pool. Even when a beer spills over your iPhone in the bar, you won't have any problems, other than a sticky casing. Note: only the iPhone Xs is available at Coolblue as a refurbished model.
