How do you fully charge the battery of your Nextbase dash cam?
Charge the battery of your Nextbase dash cam
Doesn't your dash cam charge correctly or does your battery still indicate it's empty after charging? Check if you're using the right charger.
- Tip 1. Use the correct charger
- Tip 2. Check the fuse
Tip 1: use the correct charger
To properly charge the battery of your dash cam, you need a USB charger with a least a 1A current. Make sure you charge the camera for long enough before you use it. The internal battery is only meant to provide the dash cam with power in parking mode. While you drive, you can use the 12V connector of your car as power supply for your camera.
Tip 2: check the fuse
If your dash cam indicates that the battery is almost empty and it doesn't charge, check if the blue LED light of the connector lights up. Isn't that the case? Check if the glass fuse in the fuse box of your car isn't broken. You can check it by making sure the fuse hasn't blown. Replace the fuse if it's broken. You can easily click a fuse in the mount of the fuse box. The right size of the fuse is 2A, a 5mm diameter, and 20mm length.
